Jenny took her first yoga class almost 20 years ago, but it wasn’t until she stumbled upon an instructor that gave the class permission to “do you” that kept her coming back for more. Yoga quickly became a form of “medicine” for her that brought the balance she had been seeking. Now as an instructor, she wants to give back to help others experience the positive effects of yoga, both on and off the mat.
Known for her friendly and welcoming presence, Jenny’s main style is Vinyasa-based with a methodical pace; particular attention to the breath; safe alignment, and always an uplifting message to take beyond the mat.
Jenny’s 500 hour training with Yoga Medicine Founder, Tiffany Cruikshank, has taught her the importance of our anatomical differences. “Just because I am able to fully externally rotate my knee towards my pinky toe in Warrior 2, doesn’t mean that your hip joint can do the exact same. Therefore, you will never find me attempting to force your body into a specific pose.” Instead she teaches safe alignment and easy to understand cuing to help you reach your full potential in a pose. She truly feels the unique journey of each student is what makes the practice so beautiful.
A true “people lover,” she enjoys getting to know others from all walks of life. She believes it is through learning about others, that her life is immensely enriched.
Jenny is also a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. She also teaches Gentle Flow, Slow Flow, Yin, and Yoga Nidra meditation.
